About Our Miramesa Preschool
At The Family of Faith Preschool, we firmly believe that the positive academic and spiritual development of young children relies on two things: a love of learning, and a love of Jesus.
Since 2004, Cypress-area parents have trusted us to enrich the wonderful, amazing minds and souls of their children at our Copperfield preschool location. We are pleased to announce that—with the opening of a second preschool location in the spring of 2018—we will soon bring our mission to the Miramesa area. We currently accept pre-registration for children from birth to pre-K.
A typical day at TFOF Preschool-Miramesa will include Bible stories and a daily visit to the chapel. We’ll sing silly songs with a meaning, learn the Pledge of Allegiance, and recite the Pledge to the Cross. We will paint, dance, play, and learn some Spanish words and phrases. We will also celebrate birthdays and pray for friends and family members who are facing a challenging time. And, of course, we’ll spend time on the playground and enjoy lunch and snacks together.
Led by Preschool Director Cora Nash, who has overseen the TFOF Preschool-Copperfield for more than 5 years, the staff at TFOF has a combined 60+ years of experience in caring for children. Preschool teachers are thoroughly vetted, receive 24 hours of pre-service training, and participate in ongoing training courses each year. To ensure each child receives the care and attention he or she deserves, the school is committed to operating above the state-required teacher-student ratio.
TFOF Preschool conducts full background checks (on both state and federal levels) on all staff members to help ensure parents’ peace of mind. Electronic as well as manual check-in/check-out procedures are in place, and entry to the facility is restricted through electronic door lock mechanisms and badge/key code access.
Cora believes in a teaching approach that nurtures the child’s whole person and community. Consistent schedules, plenty of hands-on play, visual aids, and fun while learning are some of the fundamental principles of the school’s Bible curriculum.
“Each child is unique, and our teachers are very attuned to each boy and girl’s particular learning style and needs,” she says. “And while it’s important to nurture our children academically, we feel it is equally important to nurture each child spiritually, emotionally, and socially as well.”
Upon graduation from TFOF Preschool, children will not only be prepared to successfully master the academic challenges of kindergarten, but also grow from a foundation of confidence, goodwill, and faith. Equipped with the tools to manage their emotions and develop into confident individuals, our children thrive on strong social skills as they encounter new and different environments.
“The most important message for each child, from very early on, is that Jesus loves you,” Cora says. “Most will step into a public school environment later on, and we hope our students will carry this message in their hearts throughout their lives.”
We are taking applications currently. Please contact our Director of Preschool Operations, Mrs. Cora Nash, at Cora@TheFamilyOfFaith.org, or call 281-256-3900.
