Explore Church Youth Activities for Students in Grades 6-12

The church youth group at the Family of Faith gives teens opportunities to study the Bible, take trips, complete service projects and have fun as part of their faith journey.

Church youth activities include the annual Christmas Party, the spring garage sale, trips to the beach, roller skating, bowling and activities after church on the second Sunday of each month.

We look forward to seeing you (and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram)!

Confirmation

The Bible teaches that God provides us with in a special meal called the Lord’s Supper. To prepare youth to receive this meal, the senior pastor teaches one year of weekly classes, held at noon Sunday at the Miramesa location throughout the school year. The main textbooks are Martin Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible. At the end of the instruction, the church celebrates teens' achievements in a special worship service called confirmation.

High School Youth Trips

Our youth group takes trips, usually in the summer, to Christian events. Recent summer trips have included traveling to St. Paul/Minneapolis for the National Youth Gathering, which 25,000 youth from around the country attended. Other church youth trips have included week-long servant events in the Houston area, mission trips to other cities in Texas, attending the Texas District Youth Gathering and trips to Christian concerts.

Senior High Movie Night

Each month in the Youth Room at the Copperfield ministry location high school students view a movie with their peers and volunteer youth leaders while snacking on pizza and refreshments. Afterwards, they discuss the movie from a Christian perspective. Movie nights are referred to as Deep Fry’d (films reaching youth).

Middle School Movie Nights

Once a month teens gather in the Youth Room at the Copperfield ministry location [map and directions] to watch a fun, family-friendly movie with peers and volunteer youth leaders and enjoy pizza and refreshments. Afterwards, they discuss the movie from a Christian perspective. Movie nights are referred to as Deep Fry’d (films reaching youth).
